Have you been feeling this sometimes gentle but urgent need to serve Almighty Allah?

Have you found yourself emotionally full, close to tears with an intense longing for Allah (SWT)? Do you desire a closer relationship or a deeper commitment? During salah has your posture been of humble surrender? 'Ya Allah, what can I do to please you?'

If any of these experiences are happening to you, you may be experiencing the call. It is your opportunity to 'serve' by a deeper relationship through service. We, therefore, invite you to join our team of active dai'yetts and spread Al-Islam to an almost forgotten people: the Latino community of the USA. Of the over 32 million Latinos in this country, forty thousand are Hispanic Muslims. The number of Hispanic Muslims can only continue to grow with your help. For many years, because the Hispanic population had been ignored, we made it our priority to reach out. We need Spanish and English speaking sisters. Make your commitment to spread Al-Islam the greatest gift of all.

Although Hispanics are our target group, we help everyone and insist on working with anyone who contacts us. We are not here to divide but to unify and strengthen our Ummah. PIEDAD is a volunteer organization. We have no salaries or sponsors, but we do incur many expenses. If you would like to support our effort, we have listed some ways you can help:

• Islamic literature: Purchase Spanish and English language material and donate it for free distribution. We have a waiting list and other contacts who are doing similar work in their communities and need Islamic material. We also send boxes of Qu'rans to correctional facilities and Masjids.
• Shipping: Purchase booklets or rolls of U.S. postage stamps. Each Qu'ran costs $3.20 to ship.
• Xerox: We need someone to donate a copier or cheap printer. We also need printer paper for copying brochures.
• Media Center: Donate new audio cassette tapes for our free distribution to women and inmates. Or a used working digital camera for our web page.
• Translation: We need your precious time to translate. Da'wah material from great scholars is sometimes inaccessible to our intermediate and advanced sisters. We must also distribute press releases about upcoming Eids and other events to the Spanish media.
• Your home state: Be our contact for new muslimahs.
